Our Story

There’s More to Metal Than Meets the Eye

At Rusty Decor, we believe a piece of steel can become a whole lot more than just metal.

It can become something that makes you laugh when you walk through the door. A piece that reminds you of home. A Christmas tradition your family brings out year after year. A gift that feels personal. Or that one conversation piece everybody notices.

That’s what we love creating.

We take ordinary steel and turn it into distinctive home décor with character, personality, and just the right amount of rust.

Rusty Decor, Home Decor and A Whole Lot More.

Made to Be Different

We’ve never been interested in making things that look like everything else. Our designs are unique to us so you won't find them somewhere else. Many of our designs start out as a photo and become metal art.

Our designs range from western and farmhouse décor to humorous signs, seasonal pieces, nativities, outdoor themes, ornaments, magnets, keychains, door hangers, and plenty of things that are simply hard to put into one category.

Whether it makes you smile, brings back a memory, celebrates your faith, or simply looks great hanging on the wall, we want every Rusty Decor piece to have a little personality of its own.

From Steel to Something Special

There is something pretty satisfying about watching a sheet of steel turn into a finished piece of décor. By the way we're not the only ones that watch the process. Our decor is made on our Longhorn Ranch.

Many of our products begin as durable 16-gauge steel. The design is cut with precision using our CNC plasma-cutting process, cleaned and finished, and then given the look that has become part of the Rusty Decor name.

Our natural rust patina means no two pieces will look exactly alike. Variations in tone, texture, dark spots, orange highlights, and weathering are part of what makes each piece unique.

It isn’t a printed rust pattern.

It’s the real thing.

And we think the imperfections are part of the beauty.

Made in the USA

We’re proud to create our metal décor right here in the USA.

From the first design on the computer to the sparks flying from the plasma table, we enjoy being involved in the process of turning an idea into something you can display in your home.

We believe American-made still means something.

It means craftsmanship. It means taking pride in the details. And it means knowing there are real people behind the product you’re bringing into your home.

Built With Personality

Some décor is meant to quietly blend into the background.

Ours usually isn’t.

You’ll find western nativities, old trucks and tractors, signs that may make your neighbors laugh, seasonal designs, porch décor, outdoor themes, and pieces inspired by the places and people we love.

Some are meaningful.

Some are nostalgic.

Some are a little sarcastic.

And some are just plain fun.

That sounds a lot like life to us.

Our Rust Is Part of the Story

When you receive a natural-rust Rusty Decor piece, you may notice that its finish isn't perfectly uniform.

Good.

That’s exactly how it should be.

Natural patina develops differently across every piece of steel. One may have deep chocolate-brown areas, another may show more burnt orange, and another may have darker industrial-looking variations.

Those differences aren't defects.

They're what make your piece yours.

Why Rusty Decor?

We want to make products we'd be happy to put in our own homes and proud to give to somebody we care about.

That means focusing on:

  • American-made metal décor
  • Durable steel construction
  • Distinctive original designs
  • Natural character and rust patina
  • Products with personality
  • Décor that doesn't look mass-produced

Most of all, we want you to open the box and think:

“That is even better than I expected.”

More Than Metal

At the end of the day, we aren't just selling steel.

We're creating pieces that become part of homes, porches, holidays, celebrations, conversations, gifts, and memories.

And we're grateful every time somebody chooses one of ours.

Thanks for stopping by.

Take a look around. Have some fun. Find something that feels like you.

Bring a Little Rust Home.
